WELCOME!

Audrey is a New York based actor & singer. You may have seen her Off-Broadway, Off-Off-Broadway, or touring on land or at sea. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Audrey first encountered musical theatre when her father brought home DVDs of the M.G.M. movie musicals he’d remastered at work. She trained in jazz vocals at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, eventually performing in vocal jazz ensembles at the Monterey Jazz Festival. A vocally agile performer, she is equally at home in Golden Age musical theatre, R&B, jazz, pop, and soul. Favorite roles include Emma Goldman and Grandfather (yes, Grandfather) in Ragtime (Hangar Theatre), and the Judith soloist in Gavin Creel’s concert Walk on Through at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Dreams roles include, but are not limited to, Ella Peterson (Bells Are Ringing), The Witch (Into the Woods), Beverley (Come From Away), and Isabella (Measure for Measure). She is a proud graduate of the University of Michigan with a BFA in Musical Theatre.

Headshot & Résumé

  • "Audrey Rose Young is terrific in speeches by political activist Emma Goldman, with the look and accent indicative of the Russian emigrant."

    Tony Curulla, syracuse.com

  • Audrey Rose Young, as Mother Superior, brings a sly comedic sensibility to her role as stern antagonist, convincing us in the end that even she is not immune to life-affirming change
